Ordered this closer to replace an old hydraulic closer that had lost its power over the years. The new unit fit in place exactly over the metal studs that anchored the old unit. Adjustment was easy, shipping was prompt.

It’s a costly item, but it is a direct replacement for the original board which faulted in my case. Copied the settings directly over, and it has worked well without needing to be touched.

Exceptional product but the instructional manual is disjointed and incomplete! This replaced an opener from another manufacturer that could not reliably open my 300 lb, 14 ft gate. This opener works reliably and fast. When I needed a replacement part I got it quickly. When I needed technical support with the installation they answered my email on a Saturday evening!! The manual seems disjointed because it was edited after regulatory changes requiring more safety devices. While the Gate Depot site clearly says that one safety device is required this system will NOT work with that alone. You MUST insert one of the jumpers they provide for testing and leave it for the system to work with only one photo eye. Finally, brackets are provided for the post and gate and they must be welded for installation.
