Solar Panels

Solar Panels are available from 5 watts to 170 watts in either 12 or 24 Volts DC. You can narrow down your selection using the filters to select voltage, wattage, brand, and price range. Solar panels may be wired together in series to increase the voltage or in parrallel to increase the wattage. If you are using a panel over 10 watts you will also need to purchase a solar regulator if one is not built into the gate operator that is being used. The Federal Tax Credit for Installation of Solar Systems is equal to 30% off the total installed cost of the solar operator system. This only applies to the automation, not to the cost of physical gate itself or its installation. The property must be located in the United States and be used as a residence by the taxpayer.
