Positive Stops

Positive Stops are Used to Control Open and Closed Position on a swinging gate. Gate Depot recommends using them on any linear arm, column mount, or underground operator installation. Because a small amount of play exists in these operators, it can be difficult to keep the gate aligned properly, especially on a double gate where you want them to meet in the center. Some older styles of hydraulic operators will not function properly unless the positive stops are installed. Be sure to check the manual for the gate operator you are using to see if external positive stops are required, some units will have the stops installed in the gate operator from the factory.
