Underground Operators

Underground Operators are also known as In-Ground Gate Openers, or Below-Grade Gate Operators. These operators consist of two components; the underground actuator arm and a separate control box. There are two types of Underground Operators; Electro-Mechanical, which are the most common and Hydraulic. What sets these operators apart from other gate openers is their near invisible appearance. Generally, these units cannot operate gates wider than 10 ft., so almost all installations are bi-parting (dual) gates.  Due to greater installation and equipment costs, Underground Operators are typically used on high-end projects. You will need to align the drive shaft with the hinge point of the gate and also provide drainage for the operator box so it does not fill with water.Some units are 110VAC or 220VAC only, others will have built in 24VDC battery backup.
