Solar Regulators & Controllers are used to control the flow of electricity to a battery in a solar panel charging circuit. This will stop effectively shut off the solar panel when the batteries have reached capacity allowing for a much longer life span on your batteries. Solar regulators are availalbe in 12 or 24 Volts DC and range in Amperage from 4.5 to 20 amps. Some solar compatible gate operators already have solar regulators built into their charging circuits.
