Sensor Probes / Wands

Sensor Probes / Exit Wands are typically used on rough gravel roads that are not maintained regularly and on the side of already finished driveways where the preference is to avoid modifying the existing asphalt, concrete, or paver roadway. Because they can be placed on the side of the road rather than in the center of the roadway it can greatly reduce installation costs. Exit wands and driveway probes are typically used for opening the gate but not for controlling safety because the proximity to the gate may cause false triggers on the sensor wand. The more high tech units such as the CS303 by EMX can be used for safety because they allow you to control the detection radius on all three axis, however the added cost of the product may eat up any additional savings on the install costs. We carry wands at 50', 100', and 150' by brands such as EMX, Diablo, Liftmaster, MMTC, Linear, Apollo, and Eagle.
